Finances

The accounting year of all councils starts on 1st April and finishes on 31st March. Local councils levy an annual precept charge, which is collected by the District Council. The precept helps run the services provided by the Parish Council.  The precept request for the financial year 2016-17 was £8500. The Parish Council has few other sources of income, although it receives some money from the bottle bank, its tax service supported by Norfolk County Council, and can also apply for grants.
